Part 8 - Looking back at your preliminary task, what do you feel you have learnt in the progression from it to the full product?

Overall, our preliminary task was very successful because we managed to reshoot our problem and it was solved very quickly, edited and finished on time. It was successful because we stuck to all the rules and we made ours funny so I think it was very good. We planned it thoroughly as well so we knew exactly what we were doing. I think it was quite creative because it wasn’t a cliché like most people had done. Our digital technology was well maintained with the use of a tripod that really helped to make everything steady and look professional. The less successful parts, I think, were the sounds because of the part where the girl is walking towards the door there is a lot of background noise that people made in the corridor we were in and then when she gets to the door there’s barely any sound other than the noise she makes opening the door, so that doesn’t really show continuity. When making our title sequence there wasn’t any kind of conversation that needed to be listened to and it was all covered by our music anyway, however, the scream was needed to be heard above the music so to overcome that we just turned the volume of the scream up and the volume of the music down so that it could be heard but I think that the music still sounds the same throughout so its good that you can’t tell that the volume changes.
